actor | singer | multi-hyphenate artsy type

I grew up in Southeastern Michigan in a house full of music. Both of my grandmothers were experts in their chosen musical professions (classical singing and piano), every member of my immediate family was obligated to learn to play an instrument until high school whether they actively sought it out or not, and our living room stereo would frequently shuffle through an eclectic selection of CDs including the greatest hits of Aretha Franklin, the Shrek movie soundtrack, the Mavericks… and the Annie original Broadway cast recording (my contribution).

I pursued a degree in Musical Theatre from the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University, and have been working in the theatre since, now as a member of Actors’ Equity Association.

In addition to the traditional theatre venues I always imagined, I also spent a year touring with Madcap Puppets based out of Cincinnati, OH, performing original muppet-style puppet shows and teaching puppetry workshops to children and families across the Midwest, igniting a serious love for the art form of puppetry.

I am also an avid visual artist (see my ART page for a little more on that). I enjoy sewing, playing instruments, and have an enthusiasm for learning new skills. My newest hobby is possibly the fiddliest one I’ve picked up so far: quilting!

My husband and I moved to the Chicago area in 2019, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the next chapter brings!
